Fans were once again treated to another grand Kapamilya event as some of the biggest and brightest stars of ABS-CBN once again assembled not just to make us kilig with their presences and mesmerizing visuals, but to also astound us with their athleticism, during the Star Magic All-Star Games 2023 held last Sunday, May 21, at the Mall of Asia Arena.

The star-studded annual sporting event featured four different games, namely badminton, rookie basketball, volleyball, and the main basketball. The pairs of JM Yusores and Karen Bordador (beginner), Ashley Colet and Maxine Trinidad (intermediate), and Neil Coleta and Chico Alicaya (competitive) aced the badminton event; while the Star Magic Mixed Rookies dominated the rookie basketball with Ashton as the Most Valuable Player. The Star Magic Lady Spikers were named the champions, with Analain Salvador as the MVP; while Team It’s Showtime was able to snag their back-to-back win after once again dominating the main basketball event, with Ion Perez as the MVP.

Aside from the celebrities who participated in the games, there were also other Kapamilya artists who graced the event as mere spectators or cheerleaders of the team or players they’re rooting for. Among them were Kathryn Bernardo, who was, of course, present to support her “sexy, sexy love” Daniel Padilla, and Vice Ganda who gave moral support to her It’s Showtime fam, especially to her spouse Ion Perez.

The competition might be stiff and intense among the teams in each game, but the vibe off the court, inside the dugout, and along the sidelines was actually amiable and chill as the Kapamilya celebrities gamely posed to the camera and show off their pretty and bright smiles.
