Those who have been following Barbie Imperial's journey would know that she and her family used to live a simple life in Daraga, Albay along the train tracks of the Philippine National Railways. Thus, she was given the moniker “The Doll Along the Riles of Albay” when she joined Pinoy Big Brother in 2015, wherein she first mesmerized us with her doll-like face and alluring figure.
Fresh from her PBB stint, Barbie would play her own story on Maalaala Mo Kaya in the “Riles” episode, among other guestings. Apart from those, she made her teleserye debut in All of Me, starred by Albert Martinez, JM de Guzman, and Yen Santos, for a supporting role.
The 22-year-old Bicolana stunner would then turn heads at noontime daily as a member of It’s Showtime’s very own girl group GirlTrends. She would further land supporting roles on Langit Lupa (2016) and La Luna Sangre (2017), before producers recognized her leading lady potential and signed her for her first major role in Araw Gabi—a reunion with JM in his comeback Kapamilya project.
Now a prominent female celebrity, Barbie has also graced notably an eye-catching calendar shoot for a liquor brand. She also joined the top-rating primetime action-drama FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, as among the top female police officers under Task Force Agila Lieutenant Camille Villaluna. It was her first time taking on an action-drama project in her notable career. Barbie also became part of the lead ensemble of Kapamilya teleserye “Bagong Umaga” in 2020 with Tony Labrusca, Heaven Peralejo, Michelle Vito, Kiko Estrada and Yves Flores.
Apart from those teleserye appearances, she also showcased her acting chops in some episodes of true-to-life drama anthologies MMK and Ipaglaban Mo and headlined Wansapanataym: Switch Be With You and the iWant Original series “Taiwan That You Love” opposite Paulo Angeles.
