Upon granting Dexter (Joem Bascon)’s bad wish to save Buboy (Enzo Pelojero), Starla (Jana Agoncillo) turns dark and dies. Buboy is weeping while holding a lifeless Starla in his hands when a blinding light surprises him, Mang Greggy (Joel Torre), and Teresa (Judy Ann Santos) in the middle of the forest. An illuminated, enchanting lady appears who Buboy recognizes as Lola Tala (Charo Santos-Concio).
Lola Tala opens her hands to take Starla. The celestial matriarch breathes life into Starla and endows her with one last trial wish which she uses to grant Buboy’s desire for Dexter’s capture.
Meanwhile, Dexter attempts to fight back against the authorities chasing him. He fires his bullets at Doc Philip (Raymart Santiago) and Almeda in a trajectory that ensures death. But to their surprise, the bullet miraculously comes to a pause and then drops on the ground, sparing Doc Philip and Almeda. The other cops arrive and arrest Dexter who is evidently dumbfounded with the supernatural events he witnessed in Barrio Maulap.
The residents find Mang Greggy and his family; and rejoice at the sight of the celestial bodies illuminating the skies. Doc Philip and Teresa check on one another and share an embrace, drawing teases from their townsfolk especially Domeng (Simon Ibarra).
Later, Dexter falls unto imprisonment and so does Teresa. But while Dexter faces life with ill feelings, Teresa willingly accepts her fate.
Doc Philip visits Teresa and they both admit their feelings for each other. Doc Philip vows to wait for Teresa’s return.
A year later, Teresa is granted release from jail. She arrives home with her family and is joyfully greeted by the townsfolk, especially Doc Philip (Raymart Santiago) who professes his love for her. Lolita (Anna Luna) and Boyong (Janus del Prado) are pregnant with their first child. Altogether, everyone takes part in a fun boodle fight to celebrate Teresa’s homecoming.
