Upon granting Dexter (Joem Bascon)’s bad wish to save Buboy (Enzo Pelojero), Starla (Jana Agoncillo) turns dark and dies. Buboy is weeping while holding a lifeless Starla in his hands when a blinding light surprises him, Mang Greggy (Joel Torre), and Teresa (Judy Ann Santos) in the middle of the forest. An illuminated, enchanting lady appears who Buboy recognizes as Lola Tala (Charo Santos-Concio).
Lola Tala opens her hands to take Starla and breathe life into her. Starla opens her eyes and is surprised to find out that she’s still alive, especially to find Lola Tala on earth. Shock is evident on Mang Greggy and Teresa’s reactions.
The celestial matriarch explains that Starla has learned so much on Earth exactly what she’s supposed to had she been at the Wishing Star Academy. Lola Tala acknowledges Starla’s understandings on the value of friendship, family, and love that she was willing to sacrifice her own life for the sake of someone she holds dear. This makes Starla, according to Lola Tala, worthy of one last trial wish, so she could finally become a full-fledged wishing star.
Just like the usual, Starla offers her trial wish to Buboy who asks for Dexter’s capture. Starla delivers her signature chant, putting Mang Greggy and Teresa in awe.
Starla bursts with a glowing light and transforms into a certified wishing star, arousing mixed emotions between her and Buboy. The two best friends profess how much they’re going to miss each other. Starla floats over Buboy’s hands, then bids farewell to Mang Greggy and Teresa. Before finally leaving, Starla reminds Buboy that she’d always be there to listen even if she’s light years away from him. Starla says Buboy can always stare at the skies and look for her.
Lola Tala thanks Buboy for taking care of Starla on Earth. In return, Buboy also expresses gratitude to the eldest wishing star.
Buboy’s family watch Lola Tala and Starla float over the night skies alongside the other dancing wishing stars.
Meanwhile, Dexter attempts to fight back against the authorities chasing him. He fires his bullets at Doc Philip (Raymart Santiago) and Almeda in a trajectory that ensures death. But to their surprise, the bullet miraculously comes to a pause and then drops on the ground, sparing Doc Philip and Almeda. The other cops arrive and arrest Dexter who is evidently dumbfounded with the supernatural events he witnessed in Barrio Maulap.
The residents find Mang Greggy and his family; and rejoice at the sight of the celestial bodies illuminating the skies. Doc Philip and Teresa check on one another and share an embrace, drawing teases from their townsfolk especially Domeng (Simon Ibarra).
