As she usually brandishes sternness and prissiness, people around Atty. Teresa Dichaves, impeccably portrayed by Teleserye Queen Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo, couldn’t help but get intimidated by her presence. Thus, she’s being deemed as the bida-kontrabida of the well-loved primetime kid serye Starla.
Due to the strong personality she displays, many failed to see that she actually has a soft heart and is innately kind, particularly to Buboy (Enzo Pelojero), the adorable and dependable young boy her father Mang Greggy (Joel Torre) has been taking care of.
Take a look back on those moments when Teresa had shown her good side via this Friday 5 feature.
She’s sympathetic
While she hasn’t forgiven her father yet for his shortcomings and what happened to their family in the past, it does not mean that she already has a heart of stone. Surprisingly, she wasn’t able to stop herself from shedding a tear as she taught Buboy the proper way of apologizing and listened to him tearfully ‘fessing up his mistakes.
She’s generous
As she saw the effort and dedication Ester (Meryll Soriano) exerted in helping Mang Greggy, as well as her love for her child, Teresa offered to compensate her instead of simply receiving eggs and vegetables. Having experienced the same plight that she had when she was still young, her heart got touched by Ester’s harrowing story and told her to come to her office every 15th and 30th of the month to receive her pay.
She’s cheerful
Always putting on a poker-face, it’s seldom for us to see Teresa smiling nor laughing. And her spontaneous road trip with Buboy was one of those rare moments as she kept pace with Buboy’s kakulitan and did everything that he wished for them to do. That’s when we found out that beneath her domineering façade is woman who’s a child-at-heart.
She’s selfless
Her selfish and vengeful plot to accumulate the land of the townsfolk of Barrio Maulap as her way of exacting revenge to those who refused to help her many years ago. But we saw her in a completely different light when she saved Buboy first after they both fell in an excavated part of the dark forest.
She’s appreciative
Teresa may not be the type of person who would say “thank you” to those people who would do her a favor, but she proved to us that she could be appreciative as well. With Buboy exerting all his strength to save her and staying by her side to make sure that she’s alright all through the night, she didn’t miss the chance to express how grateful she is when he visited her the next day.
So, does this convinced you that Teresa isn’t really that bad? Watch out for her good deeds in the next episodes of Starla, weeknights after FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano on Primetime Bida.
