The universe has finally heard our wish as ABS-CBN is set to finally air its newest ‘kid serye’ that’s about to inspire and charm us anew – Starla.
Aside from the fact that this is going to be highly acclaimed actress Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo’s much-awaited comeback project after a five-year teleserye sabbatical, not to mention that her versatility as a thespian will be further exhibited here, what makes this primetime series a must-watch is its rousing and unique story and its stellar cast with child actor Enzo Pelojero.
Avid Kapamilya viewers might be already familiar with him because Enzo has been in the network for four years now, ever since his debut in It’s Showtime in 2015 as one of the adorable and talented contestants of the second season of its Mini Me segment. Impersonating Daniel Padilla, the then three-year-old kiddo was able to prove himself worthy to be hailed as the “Next Child Heartthrob” as he totally won the hearts of the madlang people, just like what his idol does, due to the irresistible charm, unmistakable wit, and impressive talent that he brandished.
Fondly called by host Vhong Navarro as “blad”, which was actually “brad” (or brother) but he couldn’t pronounce the letter “r” correctly yet, Enzo never failed to put a smile onto our faces. He made us laugh both as a Mini Me contender and as a character in the “Kuys, Sis, and the Kulilits” fictional narrative of the noontime show’s “Sine Mo ‘To” segment.
Since then, his acting career began to take off as he’s been casted in various programs of ABS-CBN, such as Maalaala Mo Kaya, Ipaglaban Mo, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, and My Dear Heart. But it was arguably in the latest wherein he gained more popularity and his acting chops further honed and showcased as he played the titular character’s best friend, Bingo.
So, before we get to fully see his sure-fire portrayal as the endearing and cheerful young boy Buboy in Starla, let’s take a look back first on his notable performance as Bingo in the 2017 family drama My Dear Heart via this Kapamilya Toplist. This attests that there’s indeed more to him than just his cuteness and that he truly deserves to be one of the main stars of the upcoming fantasy-drama series.
Catch Enzo and the rest of stellar cast of Starla starting October 7 weeknights on Primetime Bida.
