In a world where women are pitted against each other, it’s a breath of fresh air to see moments where women support each other. These four films from Star Cinema are the perfect examples of women supporting women!

It’s always great to have a support system of gal pals and “Pinay Pie” is a good representation of that. The film tells the story of three very different women in their 20s and 30s, navigating womanhood in these modern times. Karen (Joyce Jimenez) works for a women’s magazine; Love (Assunta de Rossi) is a cosmetics salesperson dreaming to become a beauty queen; and Yolly (Ai-ai delas Alas) is a businesswoman who finds herself torn between two men. Despite their huge differences, they are a solid unit, always there to lift each other up!

Who has not yet heard about “Four Sisters and a Wedding” and how powerful sisterhood is in this movie? All families have the troubled eldest, the smart and successful one, the black sheep, and the quiet and underappreciated one. Despite Teddie (Toni Gonzaga), Bobbie (Bea Alonzo), Alex (Angel Locsin), and Gabbie’s (Shaina) misunderstandings, at the end of the day, their bond as sisters reigns supreme!

In “Everything About Her”, Vivian Rabaya (Vilma Santos) is a strong-willed business magnate dying from an illness, so she hires similarly strong-willed Jaica (Angel Locsin) as her personal caregiver. Throughout the film, their glaring differences recede to show that they’re not so different from each other after all. Their love for their respective families, despite not being a perfect kind of love, unites them in helping each other find out what they’ve been looking for all along.

Extra Service” brings us a unique kind of girl power! Aw (Arci Muñoz), Em (Coleen Garcia), and Gee (Jessy Mendiola) are secret agents working as massage therapists. When they receive a mission to retrieve three important artifacts, their friendship is tested by their complicated pasts, deadly enemies, and men. But at the end of it all, they're sure that no man nor mission can stand between their trio!

Ladies, the world is already hard on women, so don’t let yourself fall into that trap of seeing other women as threats! Be a woman who lifts other women up! The future is female, and that future should start now! These movies’ message is clear: women supporting women is a powerful thing!
