Kathryn Bernardo, Dingdong Dantes, and Marian Rivera — three of Star Cinema’s brightest actors of 2023 — shone triumphantly at the FAMAS Awards 2024, held at the grand Manila Hotel’s Fiesta Pavilion on Sunday, May 26.

The evening was nothing short of spectacular, with Kathryn bagging the prestigious Best Actress award for her performance in the dark comedy film “A Very Good Girl”.

She competed against industry titans such as the Diamond Star Maricel Soriano (“In His Mother’s Eyes”) and Megastar Sharon Cuneta (“Family of Two”), as well as Charlie Dizon (“Third World Romance”), Eugene Domingo (“Becky & Badette”), and Marian Rivera (“Rewind”).

Dressed in a stunning white halter gown, Kathryn took to the stage brimming with gratitude and excitement in her heartfelt acceptance speech.

"Thank you so much po, FAMAS," she began her speech.

"This movie, 'A Very Good Girl', is a product of hard work, love, and passion.

“And, of course, gusto ko din i-share itong award na 'to sa lahat ng bumubuo ng 'A Very Good Girl', my Star Cinema family, my co-actor Ms. Dolly de Leon, our director Petersen Vargas... oh my God, P, we did it!” Kathryn said. Your very good girl is a very happy girl tonight. Thank you so much, FAMAS."

This win is a huge highlight in Kathryn’s career, adding to her earlier win FAMAS recognition via the German Moreno Youth Achievement Award back in 2011.

The night was equally momentous for Dingdong and Marian, the beloved DongYan couple, who were honored with the FAMAS Bida sa Takilya Award for their box office hit “Rewind”. Their film, which also snagged the Best Sound award, has made history as the highest-grossing Filipino film of all time in the Philippine domestic market.

Star Cinema couldn’t be prouder of Kathryn, DongYan, and the amazing teams behind these acclaimed movies. Here’s to more unforgettable and impactful films ahead!
