Gong Xi Fa Cai!
It’s time to celebrate the Chinese New Year again! And as we feel the festivity with our Filipino-Chinese brethren, here is our certified Chinito to delight us with a Chinese-themed challenge.
Enchong Dee is indeed one of the most famous Kapamilya Chinitos. His parents Johnson Molina Dee and Maria Theresa Diño Velasquez are of Chinese descent. Enchong once shared during the press conference of his 2016 film “Mano Po: Tsinoy” that his family strictly follows Chinese traditions, like his character on the said film.
Given his Chinese roots, he graces us with some of his Chinese lifestyle skills by doing the Chopsticks Challenge.
In this video, his task was to pick up the items on top of a container and put those down on the table. He had to do this for five consecutive rounds, which he must complete in five seconds each! Each round he must pick different items, ranging from the easiest ones to the hardest as he went from one level to another. Each time he failed on a certain round, he needed to do a fun dare.
Enchong scored three out of five items. He successfully picked up and put down the candies, sachet, and small jellies on the table using the chopsticks, but failed to do so with the ballpens and batteries which made him do two dares: first, to count 1-20 in Chinese and second, to sing a Chinese song.
