Bea Alonzo shares lessons from past relationships, being a Kapamilya in latest vlog

As she currently takes a break from doing teleseryes and movies due to the pandemic, Bea Alonzo is currently making waves online as she revived her eponymous YouTube Channel recently by posting new videos again after nine months!

In the first two weeks, she gave us a two-part virtual tour around her fabulous, artsy, and cozy abode. And just last Saturday, October 10, she allowed us to get to know her even better through her latest vlog titled Ask Bea (Answering Your Questions), wherein she enthusiastically responded to the random questions sent in by her fans, followers, and friends on her official social media accounts.

She commenced the vlog by opening a bottle of wine as her way of celebrating life in general and everything she’s grateful for amidst the current circumstances we’re in, and went on to answer the first question which was from her best friend Jenn Gregorio regarding the last time she laughed so hard. According to her, it happened in one of her recent date nights with her friends as they talked about some completely ridiculous stuff.

Being one of those female celebrities who became an epitome of a strong, independent woman due to the trials and setbacks she underwent through the years, several netizens quizzed her on love and life in general.

With regards to the lesson that her past relationship taught her, the 32-year-old seasoned actress confessed, “that I am stronger than I think, that I am resilient, that I can survive anything in life, and that I am worthy.”

Since we all know that she went through a tough and controversial breakup last year, she also shared a few tips on how to move on from heartbreaks.

“Just do. It won’t come instantly. It won’t be easy. But you just have to take it one day at a time and just acknowledge your feelings. If you’re still not okay, if you haven’t forgiven the person who hurt you, it’s okay because that day will come. Just trust the process,” she advised.

When it comes to gaining self-confidence, Bea recounted how she used to get intimidated by her contemporaries, such Anne Curtis, Marian Rivera and Angel Locsin, when she was just starting in showbiz. However, she’s able to overcome it by focusing on where she thought she’s good at – acting.

“I think, you just have to love yourself for who you are – flaws and all. After a while, ‘yon ang natutunan ko e – na nobody will love you as much as you love yourself. If people see you that you love yourself and that you take care of you because you love you, people would actually start to respect you,” she said.

Being one of those stars who stayed in ABS-CBN ever since her debut, she proudly regarded the network for teaching her everything she knows about the business and helping her hone the person that she is today, as well as shared what being a Kapamilya has taught her through the years – how to love a colleague, how to care about one another, the value of hard work, and the gift of friendships.

She also went on to talk about the biggest turning point in her life, how she has managed to overcome trials in life, her diet and exercise routine, her reactions to her fans-turned-bashers, being a certified “tita” to her brother’s firstborn and a “plantita”, and the top three lessons in life she learned the hard way.

Bea expressed, as well, her interest to work again with her recurring loveteam partner John Lloyd Cruz and with her Love To Last and “Unbreakable” leading man Ian Veneracion. After working with him in a shampoo commercial, she wishes to work with Alden Richards in an acting project next time.

Aside from questions regarding her personal life and acting journey, she gamely responded to other playful queries, such as her favorites, her local and international celebrity crushes, her pet peeves, the most important quality of the next guy she’ll fall in love with, and if she prefers a man with a hunky physique or a dad bod.

Capping off the fun and insightful Q and A, she probably thrilled many of us when she described her heart, “Okay naman siya. Nag-eentertain siya, nagda-date siya. Open siyang maging masaya.”
