Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto have thrilled us as a loveteam since their first team-up on the 2016 Metro Manila Film Festival entry Vince and Kath and James. The sparks between them grew brighter after their widely acclaimed performance in Maalaala Mo Kaya as star-crossed yet ill-fated lovers early this year.
From being mere colleagues and onscreen partners, JoshLia are taking their relationship to the next level as they nonchalantly divulged that they’re already in the courtship stage which made us more thrilled than ever.
Their reel to real acting
The natural special feelings they have for each other is arguably the top secret for their palpable chemistry on and off-cam. In their separate interviews in Tonight With Boy Abunda, the two revealed that their acting in their latest romantic flick Love You to the Stars and Back is entirely “honest and genuine.” There’s no wonder how they were able to captivate the hearts of the spectators.
They are each other’s confidant
Through thick and thin, Joshua and Julia are always there for each other. With all the rumors enveloping their relationship, their friendship remains stronger and they show how much they support one another may it be in show business or in their personal lives.
Joshua actually clammed up when asked about his long-time courtship during the presscon of Love You to the Stars and Back, and Julia quickly defended and comforted her leading man, holding his arms until he overcame his tense ordeal, reports say.
They can do everything for each other
Joshua might not have been very vocal when it comes to professing his love for Julia, but he was able to pen a heart-melting note and put up a candlelight dinner when she was sick. On the other hand, Julia admitted that she doesn’t know how to cook, but she tried her best to learn how to prepare carbonara for Joshua. Apart from that, despite being too shy, Joshua has always been present in the family gatherings of the Barrettos. Kilig!
They have a term of endearment
If the aforementioned moves aren’t delighting enough for you, maybe knowing that JoshLia has a term of endearment would do. It’s not “daddy” and “mommy” just like what they had in their latest movie, but it’s “Baba”, a sweeter and more endearing version of “Baby,” Joshua revealed in a report.
They’re exclusively dating
And there’s nothing more thrilling than to know that your favorite loveteam you’ve been shipping since the first time they teamed up has a huge chance of being officially together for real! The 20-year-old actress confirmed in the TWBA interview that she’s already given Joshua the “exclusive rights” to pursue her, while she’s not accepting other suitors as well since he started courting her January this year.
