It is the time of the year again when some of our favorite Kampamilya male stars take time off from their television and movie gigs to show off their athletic sides in the highly anticipated All-Star Game 2018.
This year, fans and other spectators will surely fill the Araneta Coliseum with deafening shrieks and booming cheers as Team Red attempts to snatch the championship title won by Team Blue last year.
Spearheaded by Gerald Anderson, Team Blue was able to recover from their loss in the 2016 showdown as they dominated the game, 93-90, with him being hailed as the Most Valuable Player.
Being the fierce competitor that he is, Team Red Captain Daniel Padilla imparted in an interview during one of their practices that they are doing great despite having some difficulties. He insisted that more than the competition, they are playing basketball just to stay fit and have fun.
Reminded of last year's scuffle with Team Blue's JC De Vera, Daniel said that they will try not to get involved in any discord.
"Kapag sa basketball, hindi mo naman na naiisip. Sa sobrang in na in mo sa laro, nakakalimutan mo na. Pero itong laro namin, siyempre iiwasan na namin. Iiwasan ko na ring nabibigla ako," he said.
Comprising the fearless line-up of Team Red are Hashtags Ronnie Alonte, Zeus Collins, and Paulo Angeles, Ejay Falcon, Jon Lucas, Richard Gutierrez, Anjo Damiles, Patrick Sugui, Vin Abrenica, Richard Andrew, and Axel Torres.
Don't miss this annual star-studded exhibition game presented by ABS-CBN Events, Star Events, and Star Magic, happening on August 19, 3:00 pm at the Araneta Coliseum.
