It’s been eight years since Daniel Padilla kicked-off his consistently skyrocketing career in show business. Despite being a member of the most prominent clans in the industry, he didn’t take advantage of it as he climb his way up through his own efforts, persistence, talent, and of course, charisma.
Through the years, we have witnessed how he evolved from being a newcomer to eventually becoming his generation’s King of Hearts, which apparently reflected on his appearances on the annual Star Magic Ball.
From being an adorable Prince Charming…
Unbeknownst to many, he already charmed us even prior to his acting debut with his cuteness as a 14-year-old boy in a classic suit during the third Star Magic Ball. A year after, he had shaken up his look by donning a blazer with tropical-themed lapel.
As deviant as it might seem, he undeniably looked every inch a rockstar as he attended the formal affair in 2011 in an all-black leather ensemble accentuated with grey bowtie and belt, and fixed his hair in textured spikes.
…to becoming the swoon-worthy Teen King!
2012 marked the beginning of exponential changes in DJ’s life under the spotlight. Aside from releasing his self-titled EP (extended play) and starring on his first-ever teleserye and movie, his team-up with promising actress Kathryn Bernardo garnered unbelievable fame and acclaim. Thus, it was not surprising when they took home the Breakout Style Award on the first time they showed up on the Star Magic Ball together. He was wearing a classic suit then, which splendidly complemented her princess-y aura.
His avid arguably know how fond he is of rolling against the current or being ‘rebellious’ towards the trends which his agemates or other guys are into. And it’s obvious on the attires he chose on the next stagings of the glitzy affair.
In 2013, he strutted in a subtly checkered four-piece number by Edwin Tan. Meanwhile, he got everyone’s head turning when he defied the black, white, and silver motif of the seventh ball and dashingly strolled in maroon suit and added a vintage vibe on his get-up by bringing a cane.
Dapper and luxurious
The actor-singer looked utterly dapper and luxurious in his all-white Joey Samson ensemble, which he topped off with his sleek pompadour. Of course, he didn’t forget to put a twist by pinning a black corsage on the lapel of his blazer. As his squeaky clean look complemented well with Kath’s exquisiteness in the intricately designed
Michael Cinco gown, they were hailed as the Best Dressed Couple in 2015.
He got a less formal (but superbly hotter!) on his chosen look in 2016 as he rocked the red carpet with a Francis Libran and Joey Samson suit in all-black, leaving his top unbuttoned that gave us a peek on his chest.
And last year, he once again stood out in the sea of black and white tuxedos as he opted for an uncoordinated four-piece suit crafted by Paul Lazaro, with its plum-colored velvet blazer and multicolored pocket square making his look totally deviant. He paired it with his round lightly tinted specs and the same well-groomed hair that he wore as Tristan in his last series La Luna Sangre.
Are you excited us as to see how Daniel will surely captivate us in the upcoming ABS-CBN Ball?
