From mesmerizing us with their glamorous looks in the ABS-CBN Ball held last September, some of our favorite Kapamilya stars 'haunted' us when they arrived in their spookiest, strangest, and sassiest costumes in the first-ever 'Black Magic' Halloween Party held last weekend.
Just like what happened in the glitzy party last month, there were stars who slayed the black carpet all by themselves, while others came with their squad or with their colleagues in the recent star-studded gathering. But, arguably, it was the on-screen and real-life couples who everyone were waiting for the most as we were all excited to find out how they would rock the shindig with their chosen costumes.
Star Magic talents Gerhard Acao, Nikki Valdez, and Maxene Magalona all came with their spouses. Gerhard and his non-showbiz wife Tin brought their adorable son Baby Andres and delighted us with their aviation-inspired attires. Nikki, who was ravishing in her fiery red frock, tapped her husband Luis Garcia as her dapper arm candy for the evening. Meanwhile, Maxene looked very chill with her husband Rob Mananquil as they brought us back to the 60s via their looks reminiscent of musical couple Yoko Ono and John Lennon.
On the other hand, Star Magic talents Manuel Chua, Joe Vargas, Patrick Sugui, Robi Domingo, and Young JV tagged their non-showbiz girlfriends along as their extraordinary muses, who also astounded us with how they poured so much effort in their unexpected and awesome get-ups.
Last, but definitely not the least, were the top reel-to-real love teams who thrilled us with kilig and fright through their costumes.
Despite not having matching concepts for their attires, KathNiel and KimXi still didn't fail to bring in kilig with their presences. Kathryn was bewitching in her interpretation of DC Comics villain Poison Ivy while her "bal" Daniel Padilla was clad in a Paul Lazaro ensemble and capped his Halloween look with a Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) makeup, like Hector in “Coco,” and putting on a giant eye head piece. On the other hand, Kim looked terrifyingly beautiful in her interpretation of Ahmanet from "The Mumm"y while Xian was dashing in a Dracula outfit.
Meanwhile, LoiNie and LizQuen arrived in matching costumes that truly pleased everyone. Loisa Andalio and Ronnie Alonte spread love and terror as their pegs Lucifer Morningstar and Eve of the hit American television series "Lucifer," while Enrique Gil and Liza Soberano amused the onlookers as they channeled the awesome duo of Brittany and Tiffany Wilson of the 2004 comedy flick "White Chicks" through their fabulous get-ups.
