The Star Magic Ball is undeniably one of the biggest and most anticipated star-studded celebrity event in the country. Since its launch in 2007, it would never be complete without the appearances of the loveliest couples and brightest loveteams that have made us all excited and delighted with shrieks and kilig vibes through the years.
Let’s take a look on how some of our favorite onscreen (or maybe even offscreen) couples graced the previous editions.
2015 marked Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil’s first-ever Star Magic Ball together after the successful run of Forevermore that catapulted their team-up to the greatest heights in popularity. Their appearances together since then never failed to give us major fairytale vibes.
They might not have red strings with them when they walked the red carpet together for the first time last year, Elmo Magalona and Janella Salvador’s closeness was unmistakable. And it seems that they are really born for each other as they’ll going to be partners again this year.
The Teen Royalties have been attending the Star Magic Ball since 2012, the same year their loveteam surged ahead in the well-loved primetime series Princess and I. On and off-cam, the two definitely look lovely, so there’s no surprise that they bagged the Breakout Style Award in 2012, Couple of the Night in 2013, and Best Dressed Couple in 2015.
From being dateless in her previous appearances in the glitzy gathering, Elisse Joson finally found her arm candy in McCoy de Leon last year. And it appeared that they really enjoyed each other’s company that night because they ran to the nearest branch of the fastfood chain they’re endorsing to grab some midnight snacks. The new pair garnered a lot of followers after their stint in Pinoy Big Brother Lucky Season 7.
Fresh from their PBB 737 stint, the super cute team-up of the equally good-looking and talented Bailey May and Ylona Garcia immediately charmed the Star Magic Ball in 2015. They once again walked the red carpet together at the Ball last year.
Julia Barretto has been regularly attending the party since 2011 all by herself. On the other hand, PBB alumnus Joshua Garcia went alone on his first appearance in 2014 and came with Loisa Andalio in 2015. But when they were paired up for Vince and Kath and James, which was shown two months after the Ball, Joshua took Julia to the Ball last year, revealing their incredible chemistry. And after admitting they are in the courtship stage offscreen, JoshLia is truly one couple to watch at the Ball this year.
Admit it. It’s really hard to hide the excitement in anticipating these couples and more onscreen team-ups to walk the Star Magic Ball red carpet this coming September 30 at the Makati Shangri-La, isn’t it?
