Gerald Anderson, Kim Chiu, Kathryn Bernardo, Robi Domingo, Janella Salvador, and Jason Abalos led their fellow ABS-CBN stars in raising P120,000 for public school athletes by participating in a fundraising activity by Sun Life Financial-Philippines Foundation, Inc.
Held during the recent Star Magic Games, the activity dubbed “Throwback to 120” had the stars playing arcade basketball, with Sun Life Foundation donating P1,000 for every successful shot.
“The Kapamilya stars understand the need to support our young Filipino athletes and they eagerly participated in this initiative. For that, we are very thankful,” said Sun Life Foundation Executive Director Anne Zillah Flores.
Other stars who participated were Sofia Andres, Jerome Ponce, Jane Oineza, Miles Ocampo, Nash Aguas, Alexa Ilacad, Zaijian Jaranilla, Andrea Brilliantes, Nyoy Volante, Neil Coleta, Marcelito Pomoy, the Goin’ Bulilit Kids, and more.
The check for the P120,000 donation was personally received by Coach Eski Ripoll of Get Passionate Productions, which mounts training programs for public school athletes and coaches.
This initiative is also in line with Sun Life’s 120th anniversary in the Philippines. Sun Life Foundation is the philanthropy arm of Sun Life of Canada (Philippines), Inc.
