Apart from her soap, Julia also ventured into the big screen last year through her introductory film “Para sa Hopeless Romantic.” The Andoy Ranay film had her working on her first romance film opposite his other love team, Iñigo Pascual and together with co-stars James Reid and Nadine Lustre. Finally, after focusing on drama since she entered show business Julia’s prayers was answered through her upcoming rom-com film “Vince and James and Kath.” “Curious ako kung kaya ko ba, kung magagawa ko ba. I just wanna do something different,” she said about doing rom-com for the first time. Inspired by a socialserye, the film wasn’t only Julia’s first rom-com, but it was also her first-ever Metro Manila Film Festival entry. “It’s super feel good. It doesn’t only target the millennials. Another first that Julia had while doing on “Vince and Kath and James” is working with her two new leading men—in the person of budding young leading men Ronnie Alonte and Joshua Garcia.
