Spotlight on Julia Montes

Her efforts were not put to waste as she was cast in a milk brand, chocolate snack and fast food chain endorsements to name a few. Julia also started to catch the eyes of television directors and was cast as the young Anne Curtis in Hiram and did guestings here and there. While others were in the industry out of want, Julia was in it to help in their family's financial situation.

Finally the big break Julia and Lola Flory were praying for came: She was cast in the youth oriented show, Goin' Bulilit using her real name, Mara. This is her first regular show where she met Kathryn Bernardo, John Manalo, Miles Ocampo, Kiray Celis and others who became her friends on the set. But what Julia longed for was play time with her siblings which she considers as one of the things she regrets not having had time to do. On the 3rd year of Goin' Bulilit, Julia and John graduated from the show with heavy hearts but knew that as they were getting older, had to face new challenges.

After Goin' Bulilit, Julia was cast in the teen drama, Gimik 2010 The Reunion. She also appeared in the last episode of Katorse. But the biggest news for Julia that year was when she was chosen to play the role of Clara Del Valle in the remake of the Judy Ann Santos-Gladys Reyes hit, Mara Clara. To avoid confusion, her screen name was changed from Mara to "Julia". Since Mara now will be played by Kathryn. This is a breakthrough project for both girls. The audience loved the show as seen from the consistent high ratings until it ended.
