At the Senate, Matilda (Ayen Munji-Laurel) spearheads a meeting with her colleagues as they discuss the pros and cons of death penalty. Matilda is known for being an advocate of the death penalty law. She cites the alarming increase of crime rate in the country as the key reason as to why the bill must be pushed through.
A fellow lawmaker, Senator Javier, expresses his opinion about Matilda’s proposal. He expresses the possibility of charging an innocent man with the wrong judgment. Yet, Matilda insists that her proposed law has already been polished so as to avoid such troubles.
Matilda successfully gets the votes of her colleagues except for Senator Javier. Before walking out of the room, Senator Javier voices out a warning that seems like hinting the future. “Sana lang hindi ang pamilya mo ang maging unang biktima ng death penalty mo”, Senator Javier says.
The scene cuts to Matilda and Titong (Leo Rialp) paying a visit at Drei’s (Tony Labrusca) office. Drei notices the huge smile on his mother’s face and he inquires on the reason behind it. Matilda and Titong share that the death penalty bill championed by Matilda is already bound to pass as a law. The President is scheduled to make the final signatory in a few days.
Drei, bothered by the sudden discovery of his clique’s secret crime, is seen with traces of discomfort in his face. In the recent scenes, Drei and his friends find out that their victim, Barbara (Rubi Rubi), is a child trafficker who abducted Leyna (Iyannah Joyce Sumalpong). Drei and Juris’ (Bela Padilla) nightmare happens as Leyna’s real mother shows up.
