First things first, Ketchup Eusebio’s official birth document does not bear the name ‘Ketchup’. Rather, he was born as Michael Allan Mendoza Eusebio. In his past interviews, the actor said he did a TV commercial for a tomato catsup brand when he was ten years old. Since then, people started baptizing with the name of the product he endorsed.
More than two decades older, Ketchup still uses that alias. But, among his other nicknames are Tembong, Miguelito, and Tito Mike. The versatile actor born on September 9, 1985 is passionate about all aspects of performing – theater, film, and music among others.
Ketchup spent years as a stage actor doing classical pieces such as “Florante at Laura.” Ketchup is equipped with hosting chops as well like what he showed in a lifestyle program he hosted in 2006. Just like his first character in Sino ang Maysala? Mea Culpa as Bogs, Ketchup is also into singing. The desire to work hard stemmed from his roles a family breadwinner which he started to take a hold of since he was 15.
Looking back on his first audition, the talented thespian says he did a VTR for a chocolate drink TV advertisement. Meanwhile, his dream role is to play as the Comedy King Dolphy or OPM Icon Rico J. Puno in their respective biopic.
Now, it’s time for fun facts! The way to Ketchup’s heart is through filling in his tummy with his favorite food, monggo. Japan is his favorite vacation spot while teal wins in the color department.
Catch Ketchup Eusebio as he proves his acting mastery by playing dual roles in the Kapamilya mystery-drama series Sino ang Maysala? Mea Culpa airing weeknights in ABS-CBN Primetime Bida.
