Juris (Bela Padilla) watches Dolores (Agot Isidro) present a news report about Bogs’ (Ketchup Eusebio) death and its possible link to Fina’s (Jodi Sta. Maria) search for her missing daughter. Dolores mentions the agony of losing one’s child; and this statement triggered Juris’ miserable childhood memories.
A series of flashback shows Juris’ younger years; beginning at the time when Dolores left her under her father’s care to pursue a journalism career abroad. Dolores promised to come back for her daughter but she didn’t.
Later on, Juris’ Dad turned her over at an orphanage. Since then, Juris experienced the struggles of living alone until she became a street kid who ate on other people’s leftover meals just to survive. Juris was kidnapped by a group of syndicate forcing the abducted children to remit the alms gathered all day. Juris was exempted from the group of kids dispersed in the streets. Rather, Juris was left alone in the hideout and sexually molested by the syndicate’s leader.
Back in the present time, Juris shows terrifying signs of a psychological condition; akin to a split personality disorder. With clenched fists and glaring eyes, Juris comes near the television set and starts cursing Dolores; looking every inch outraged. Unable to control her fury, Juris breaks the television set and still continues throwing in ill-wishes over her biological mother.
Yet, Juris quickly changes persona as soon as Drei (Tony Labrusca) opens the door to their room. Juris embraces Drei and pretends clueless as to why the television set fell off the floor.
