Direk Antoinette Jadaone’s magic in short yet successful teleserye journey

Nothing else makes a film or teleserye more endearing than make it relatable to the viewer.

Direk Antoinette Jadaone has consistently succeeded in this in all her written and directorial work throughout her relatively short but accomplished career.

Who could not watch “That Thing Called Tadhana”, “The Achy Breaky Hearts” or “Love You To The Stars and Back”, and not have those stunning scenes and heartwarming lines stick to our minds for a long period of time, if not permanently ingrained.

That’s her magic.

Direk Tonette makes it a point to touch the audience, not only by shooting a visual masterpiece but also making sure that the script relates to the viewer, especially in matters of the heart—from hugot to haaay moments. She also instills innovation in her work; things or elements never done before that surely delights everyone.

And this is the magic she brought to television with only two but very special teleseryes that became a marvel in online discussion and social media virality, while also livens up chatter in the workplace dinner tables at home or in school tambayans.

On The Wings of Love was her first and breakthrough teleserye. It not only further zoomed the James Reid-Nadine Lustre tandem to the stratosphere, it was a nightly heartwarming treat to televiewers with its kilig sequences and “close-to-home” situations of OFW as taping shuttled between San Francisco, California and Manila. It also featured never before done “stunts,” such as that live finale, which further heightened JaDine fan excitement over their newly admitted relationship!

Till I Met You was her most recent teleserye, wherein she reunited with JaDine and featured yet another fresh twist—a gay third wheel that truly invited massive viewer interest, apart from the breathtaking backdrop of Santorini, Greece.

Now, Direk Tonette extends her magic to yet another teleserye, her first without JaDine, but now with a stellar cast of sought-after actors. Since I Found You is set to premiere on Monday, April 16 with no less than Piolo Pascual, Arci Munoz, JC De Vera and the sensational tandem of Alessandra de Rossi and Empoy Marquez in the main cast.

There will surely be refreshing twists and turns to the story as expected from a Direk Antoinette Jadaone-megged teleserye as these five characters’ loves and lives intertwine.

Truly her magic creative touch we can’t get enough of.
