Feeling the Christmas spirit, these Kapamilya actresses who participated in the “Pasko Ang Pinakamagandang Kwento” campaign share their fondest Yuletide stories.
They say that the holiday season is magical when you’re a kid. But, to Judy Ann Santos, it’s even merrier when you become a parent. Her mind wanders back to Christmas 2010. She just gave birth to her son, Lucho, in October of that same year, making it extra special. Her mom and siblings also came over for Noche Buena, “Buo kami as a family at that time and ‘yun ang hindi mapapantayan, ‘yung may padagdag na padagdag na miyembro ng pamilya.”
It was also that year when she fulfilled her dream of owning a huge Christmas tree, “Prinamis ko sa sarili ko na kapag kaya ko nang bumili ng Christmas tree, bibili ako ng pinakamalaking Christmas tree na kakasya sa loob ng bahay namin. Bukod sa gusto ko siya ma-experience, gusto ko din ma-experience ng mga anak ko ‘yung malaking Christmas tree. Kasi ‘yung Christmas tree, ‘yun talaga ‘yung Pasko maliban sa, of course, birth of Jesus Christ.”
Janella Salvador’s first Christmas as a mother would have to be her best one as well, saying extraordinary joy is felt when spending the holidays with the family.
Blessed with a colorful childhood and teenage years, Kathryn Bernardo is lucky to have collated lots of remarkable Christmas memories. But she thinks her celebration this year will be the best ever, thanks to her loved ones. “Because I value my family and friends so much. Ang daming kailangan ipagpasalamat. Basta kasama mo yung mga mahal mo, every year, ibang kwento. Every year, espesyal din ‘yun basta kasama sila.”
Born on Christmas day, Ivana Alawi enjoys a double celebration with her family every year. Well, it doesn’t take a lot to make the FPJ’s Batang Quiapo star happy. So long as she has her family, every 25th of December is guaranteed full of good memories.
Janine Gutierrez’s best “kwento ng Pasko” is looking forward to the ABS-CBN Christmas Special. Now that she’s been part of the star-studded event in the past two years, she must say it’s truly a fun celebration with the whole Kapamilya community, as well as a happy reunion among ABS-CBN artists.
