Andrea Brillantes is one actress who pushes herself further into new acting territories. In the newest trending series “Senior High,” she doubles her talent and grit as she takes on dual duty playing twin characters Sky and Luna.

The two characters might look the same, but viewers can distinguish who’s who, which is proof of Andrea’s masterful portrayal. Check out these scenes that showcase the Gen Z superstar’s acting range.

The Friday 5 video opens with the twins’ sour reunion. Andrea made sure her dual characters didn’t bare striking similarities, apart from their physical appearance. Luna was noticeably gentler, the one who would extend her patience in dealing with the stubborn Sky, who then was still reluctant about moving to the city and studying at Northford High.

And with the help of modern technology, conversations between Andrea’s two characters appear natural. In the first scene, Luna welcomes her twin sister, even though all she gets in return are cold stares and mean replies.

The same goes with their mealtime conversation with their mom Tanya (Angel Aquino). Here, Luna warned Sky not to mess with Z (Daniela Stranner), whom Sky accused of submerging her phone in the toilet bowl as a prank. Andrea fuelled Sky’s emotions with quiet rage, as she revealed that her old phone was a gift from her beloved grandmother; hence, her reaction.

Slowly, Luna managed to soften Sky through tough love. She enlightened her about their mom’s sacrifices, imparting that distance didn’t mean they didn’t care. She said that Sky probably even had a better and happier life in the province, implying that studying in Northford High isn’t as perfect as it seems.

Luna’s effort started to pay off when Sky shared her dreams, though her dream to graduate and work abroad was laced with bitterness. In the final scene in this video montage, Sky was puzzled when Luna came home late and crying.

Andrea didn’t say a word, but the look in her eyes was enough to convey pity and worry. She could be the new topnotcher in the “mata-mata school of acting.”
