A sequel for the hit teen dark drama series “Senior High” is finally in the works! Here’s what we learned from the recent cast reveal and story conference.
The original cast members are retained, with the addition of new cast members. Andrea Brillantes is still on the lead, and she’s joined by Juan Karlos Labajo, Zaijian Jaranilla, Xyriel Manabat, Elijah Canlas, Miggy Jimenez, Gela Atayde, and Tommy Alejandrino.
Mon Confiado, whose villain character closed the previous season with the shocking plot twist of his survival, will still be part of the new chapter. Angel Aquino, Gerard Madrid, Angeli Bayani, Ana Abad Santos, Rans Rifol, and Inka Magnaye were also present at the recent story conference and shared what they look forward to in the upcoming season.
The new season will introduce new characters to be played by Ralph de Leon, AC Bonifacio, and Harvey Bautista, who are all thrilled to join the series that made waves last year. Ralph, a newcomer, says it feels surreal to be part of such a huge and talented ensemble cast.
Romnick Sarmenta and Dimples Romana will also add new flavors to the show. Romnick is looking forward to understanding more the stories of the Gen Z generation since he has Gen Z kids himself. Meanwhile, Dimples is confident that "High Street" will not only portray the struggles of young people but also their victory through those challenges.
Based on the actors’ discussion in the video, we learned that Season 2 unfolds five years after the main characters graduated from Northford High School, so this means a whole lot of maturity infused into their new journey.
Andrea admits that while she’s excited, she also feels a sense of pressure to make the sequel as good or even better than the previous version.
