High Street First Taping TimPoch RoxChie

It's been just a few months since the groundbreaking teen drama "Senior High" bid farewell with its finale, leaving fans craving for more. And we’re so happy to report that the cast members are back in action, but this time, they're stepping into the shoes of young professionals in the highly anticipated sequel, "High Street," which has already begun filming.

As the cameras start rolling for the first day of "High Street," you can feel the buzz behind the scenes. The actors, now playing characters five years after graduating from Northford High School, are feeling a mix of jitters and excitement as they reunite with their roles.

Xyriel Manabat, known as the ‘kikay’ Roxy, bids adieu to her colorful hairstyles, now sporting that sleek look in her hospital staff uniform. And check out Elijah Canlas – he’s giving Archie a new vibe with his grown-up mustache. The first installment ended with Roxie and Archie learning that they’re going to be new parents after high school.

Xyriel shared that portraying a narrative she’s never experienced in real life means tapping into all those feelings she’s seen in other parents. “Parang china-channel ko 'yung mga nararamdaman ng parents na nakakasalamuha ko, 'yun ang ginagawa kong inspiration. Kung paano nila ako tinitingnan no'ng bata ako, gano'n ko tititngnan 'yung bata,"

Meanwhile, Elijah likened the ‘feels’ of the first day of shooting to a total culture shock, "Nagpaalam na ako kay Archie last year tapos ito, may bago tayong 'High Street'. Parang nag-reunion ako with an old friend." He added, "Inisip ko, 'Kaya ko pa bang gawin si Archie?' Tapos, parang, binuksan ko lang 'yung bibig ko tapos naalala ko na kung paano si Archie."

Xyriel compares the feeling to returning to school after a long semester break, reuniting with old classmates, "Parang, kaya pala siguro wala akong ka-sepanx-sepanx noon."

Switching to more grown-up characters brings its own set of challenges. But for Zaijian Jaranilla and Migy Jimenez, who are the heart and soul of the beloved TimPoch couple, the ‘first-day’ jitters are just natural parts of the process. “’Pag wala kang kaba a nafe-feel, parang may mali,” expressed Miggy.

Gela Atayde and Tommy Alejandrino, who play besties Sanya and Kenji, are thrilled to reunite with the OG cast, who’ve become their real-life ‘barkada’. Plus, they’re stoked about working with the new faces joining the team. "We already had the story con, and we were able to bond with them, and so far, so good," spilled Gela.

For fans wondering if Daniela Stranner, who nailed the 'kontrabida' role of Z in the first season, would make a comeback in the sequel, worry not! Daniela's back in action and loving every minute of it on set, "I'm excited about the new cast. I wasn't able to meet them no'ng story con. I'm excited for the script to come in and read it and see if makaka-eksena ko sila or not.”

As the “High Street” cast dives into this fresh adventure, they’re akin to old classmates venturing into their first jobs, eager to explore new challenges and meet interesting people along the way. And with juicier stories and darker plot twists in store, “High Street” is poised to hook viewers once more, showing how its characters have grown in this exciting new backdrop.

High Street” also stars the OG GinoKy tandem of Andrea Brillantes and Juan Karlos Labajo, plus new cast members Harvey Bautista, AC Bonifacio, and Ralph de Leon.
