Robin Padilla is, without a doubt, an action royalty.
He has done numerous films in his 35-year career, with majority of those enthralling us with his death-defying stunts and impeccable acting flair. But there have been times, he brought kilig vibe in his rom-coms, where his comedic genius emerged.
He brought that funny bone out in the open when he first shifted to TV through the sitcom Pwedeng Pwede (1999-2001) alongside late comedian Redford White.
But of course, his knack in action prevailed in succeeding TV projects.
In 2003, Binoe got the lead male character Ambet in Basta’t Kasama Kita, opposite Judy Ann Santos. It was his first-ever action-primetime series.
Eight years after, he starred in another action teleserye, Guns and Roses, which also starred Bea Alonzo and Diether Ocampo. At the same time, he also headlined his second sitcom Toda Max, which reunited him and Vhong Navarro, who was also part of the Pwedeng Pwede cast.
He then shifted to romance-drama in Kailangan Ko’y Ikaw, which he top-billed alongside Kris Aquino and Anne Curtis in 2013.
And now, aside from his judging stint in Pilipinas Got Talent, he’s set to swoon our hearts once more with his funny antics and unbelievable stunts as the loving yet mighty Leo Tabayoyong, a hardworking servant whose help would be sought by his lady boss Lisa Laureano (Jodi Sta. Maria), in the upcoming romance drama Sana Dalawa ang Puso. An official trailer of the series teases yet another rib-tickling portrayal that will leave everyone LOL.
Will love ensue between him and Lisa? Find out in Sana Dalawa ang Puso, weekdays before It’s Showtime, starting Monday, January 29.
