Amidst every hugot on the internet for the broken hearted, Sana Dalawa Ang Puso is keeping fans hopeful that true love really does exist. If you haven’t found it, don’t worry because it will find you. In fact, maybe it’s already in your life, and you just haven’t realized it yet. Maybe your heart is already singing that “sharamdara” but you just haven’t been listening.
It’s synonymous to destiny or true love—"sharamdara” originally came from Donna Cruz’s hit song “Kapag Tumibok Ang Puso”. It is supposed to be the heartbeat of someone in love. According to Mona (Jodi Sta Maria), when her dad was courting her mom, he said the famous lines “Kapag tumibok ang puso, wala ka nang magagawa kung ‘di sundin ito.” But this was even before the song was released in 1989, which is why the term holds a deep meaning for them. Mona also named Martin’s (Richard Yap) fighting cock as Sharamdara, saying that she and the ‘itinakda’ were destined to meet.
The show can’t tell you how you’ll find your true love, but when it’s your sharamdara, you’ll just know it. Like these members of the cast.
