Those who were able to religiously watch the remarkable ABS-CBN afternoon soap opera Pusong Ligaw when it first aired in 2018 had surely witnessed the story of its lead female characters Teresa and Margaret, who, from being the best of friends, went on to become the stiffest rivals that Filipino viewers have ever seen.

And those well-loved characters, as we all know, was compellingly portrayed by two of the talented actresses in the country – Beauty Gonzalez and Bianca King. While we often see them bicker and one-up one another onscreen, did you know that they are actually besties in real life?

Going through their respective Instagram accounts, especially during the time when they were taping Pusong Ligaw and a year after that, we can spot photos of them hanging out together and with their other co-stars like Sofia Andres. Beauty also appeared in a couple of Bianca’s vlogs in 2019 that were uploaded on her eponymous YouTube channel, wherein they talked about random stuff while driving around. 

Among the things we found out about their bond through those vlogs is that it was Bianca was able to influence Beauty to eat healthy when they were still working together in Pusong Ligaw. Beauty revealed that since they usually had to work long hours and sleep less, she had the tendency to look for something sweet or any snacks that he could munch on in order to restore her energy. And seeing that Bianca was only eating vegetables, she also decided to do the same, too, which really helped her in maintaining her slim figure.

We weren’t only able to spot photos of them together in Bianca’s IG account, but of Beauty’s adorable bundle of joy Olivia Ines, too, who turned out to be one of her photography subjects! In one of her posts in 2018, the former wrote, “Many achievements were unlocked in Siargao. On top of the list is getting Olivia to finally like me. After more than a year of courting her and traveling with [Beauty Gonzalez].”

Aside from going to various places, the two actresses also enjoyed bonding with their other girlfriends, working out together, and taking a cooking class when they went to Thailand in December 2017. Of course, they had chikahan moments in between scenes, too! 

The title of this feature may suggest that we’re pitting them to one another, but it’s definitely a no-no because apart from the fact that both of them are sexy, beautiful, and talented, they are actually friends for real and women are now empowering one another, right?
