Motherhood absolutely brings a lot of changes in a woman’s life, and we’re not going to be the same again once our journey to this phase starts. While it could be tough, especially for those moms who have to juggle their duties at home and at work, it’s truly amazing how they’re slaying it, just like Pusong Ligaw star Beauty Gonzalez.
Those who are able to follow her life ever since she started in showbiz in 2008 through Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus, would know that she gave birth to her unica hija Olivia Ines in February 2016. A year later, she tied the knot with her art curator-husband Norman Crisologo. Even though she’s already a mom and a wife, those didn’t hinder her from still pursuing her continuously thriving acting career.
At the same time, being a mom has also not stopped her from taking good care of herself as she has noticeably become more ravishing and vibrant. As other mommies out there, who just had given birth, struggles to get back in shape, Beauty indeed wowed many when she’s able to easily lose her pregnancy weight and even gain a flat tummy. Amazing, right? But how did she do it?
In a previous interview, the 32-year-old actress disclosed that it’s “diet.” She explained, “It’s all about diet, e. Kahit anong exercise na gagawin mo, if you’re not eating right, hindi ka papayat. It’s all about eating the right food.”
Aside from observing a healthy diet, she also regularly works out. In another media interview after her stint in a fashion show in 2018, she remarked, “I've been fat for almost all my life and then I got pregnant. For me to have this body right now, I worked my best talaga. 'Cause I wanna show to everyone na kaya nila rin, na even if you're a mom already, you can still walk on a runway."
In 2021, the celebrity mom motivated her followers by sharing a montage of her exercise videos, which she captioned, “Don’t let this go to waste.” She continued, “Here’s a little workout video, hopefully to help motivate you to keep moving! Don’t give up, your goals will happen.”
She then went on to share a trick, saying, “The trick is find something you kinda enjoy doing, mentally prepare, recruit a workout buddy, and eat just a little bit less. And yes there’s no day like today to start. [sic]”
But before achieving the svelte figure she has now, Beauty actually used to struggle with her weight in her younger years, which subjected her to snide remarks from people around her. Instead of letting those affect her negatively, she just learned to accept them and turn them into something positive.
And one day, she got us all dumbfounded when she appeared fitter and leaner than she used to be. Thus, she made it to the “100 Sexiest Women” list of a men’s magazine for two consecutive years, ranking #92 in 2014 and #41 in 2015.
Since then, she has continued to inspire a lot of women to not easily lose hope in their fitness journey because she’s a living proof that it is indeed possible as long as you have the will, determination, and discipline to achieve your goals.
