After going through a lot of fun yet challenging weekly and special tasks in their two-month stay inside the Pinoy Big Brother house, ex-PBB Otso teen housemates and Star Dreamers faced another nerve-wracking yet amusing chore exactly four days after their much-awaited return to the outside world. That is, responding to the intriguing queries of the press during the Star Hunt Grand Media Conference held last January 9.
In a separate interview with the evictees and former Camp Star Hunt boarders, the issues and questions that have been beleaguering them were finally answered as they enthusiastically imparted their personal sentiments and reactions, as well as their realizations and learnings in their participation in the reality show and their future plans for their personal lives and anticipated showbiz career.
On the other hand, the Teen Big 4, composed of Jelay Pilones, Kaori Oinuma, Lie Reposposa, and Karina Bautista, also unreservedly took on the challenge of confronting the questions of the press, either controversial or for fun, and willingly recalled their unforgettable experiences and memories inside the house.
When asked regarding how their Big 4 stint affects the image of the popular reality show, the Miss Independent of Isabela related, “Para po sa akin, nakatulong siya sa image ng PBB kasi parang prinomote niya po yung female power, all girls po kami. Pinapakita po nito na although we're girls, we know how to fight and lumaban kami, and 'yon, naging successful naman kami sa laban na 'to.”
For Jelay, who was the first housemate to claim a spot on the Big 4 after successfully accomplishing the first Big Jump Challenge, she’s so proud that the four of them made it to the highly-coveted roster.
“Feeling ko first time din po na nangyari na babae po lahat 'yong Teen Big 4, so sobrang nakaka-proud po talaga as babae rin. At saka kami rin po 'yong mga original housemate po talaga so nakaka-amaze po,” the Sassy Sipag Girl of GenSan stated.
The Kawaii Daughter of Japan also aired how pleased she is of their achievement since it only proved that they can do what the guys can do and they are capable of fighting as well.
“Para sa akin po, sobrang nakaka-proud din po sa amin na lahat kami babae tapos kami rin po ang teen big 4. ‘Yong kayang gawin ng boys, parang napatunayan din namin na kaya rin naming lumaban,” she said.
Meanwhile, the Teenig ng Tawanan of Davao was left with no words and the only thing she uttered was how proud she is indeed of where they are now.
At the same time, they expressed how happy they’re going to be whoever among them will be hailed as the Big Winner because anyone of them deserves it and, most importantly, they are friends.
Like the recent seasons of PBB wherein the Big Winners were only announced after all the editions were finished, Karina and Kaori revealed that they already expected the same for their batch, while Lie and Jelay thought otherwise.
Are you excited as us to find out who’s going to be PBB Otso’s ultimate Big Winner? Well, let’s all just wait for Kuya’s “takdang panahon”!
