After the rigorous and strenuous drills they had to go through separately under the supervision of the uniformed personnel of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), the housemates and Star Dreamers of Pinoy Big Brother Otso had finally come face-to-face in the highly anticipated “Pinoy Big Battle”.

As their military training continued, Mary Grace had been consistently displaying how exhausted and distraught she was, and this tempted her to ring the bell so that her struggles and pains would end. But the other housemates and lead training officer Major Louzel L. Lara, PA kept on lifting her spirits up and convincing her to still go on in the competition for the sake of her dreams and her family.

Because of new housemate Thea Rizaldo’s persistent prodding and her faith, as well as her taking a short rest, the passion and enthusiasm of the “Inday Taray of Davao Occidental” were unmistakably recharged which truly delighted Major Lara.

However, not only she had trouble in the rigid training. Other housemates suddenly fell and had a hard time standing or moving their limbs due to cramps. Thankfully, their fellows and the officers were there to assist Mark Obera, Hanie Jarrar, and Shawntel Cruz to regain their footing.

On the second day of their military training, the housemates underwent rifle safety training after their warm-up drills in which they were taught the proper ways of handling and assembling a rifle. They were given practical exercises, which they were able to accomplish.
To mark the conclusion of their training, Major Lara toned down a bit to wish them good luck for their upcoming showdown versus the Camp Star Hunt boarders and how proud she is that no one gave up amidst the difficulties they had to endure in the past days. She also urged them to continue the intense fighting spirit they have already developed.

After two days of going under basic yet strict exercises, the moment we’ve all been waiting for has finally come as Kuya assembled both teams in the activity area and introduced the Star Dreamers’ surprise ally, celebrity star player Aljur Abrenica.

The next day, the housemates and the Star Dreamers took on the first big battle wherein they had to disassemble and assemble a rifle in the shortest time possible. Whoever wins the first round will received 88-second advantage for the ultimate Big Battle.
Hanie Jarrar was pitted against Camille Sandel and won, while the Star Dreamers got their first point after Kin Franco defeated Thea.

In the next round, housemates Mark Obera and Lou Yanong dominated over Camp Star Hunt bets Kim Franco and Grace Abrugar.

For the fifth round, the Star Dreamers were able to get another point after the main house representative Andre Brouillette lost to their teammate Aljur Abrenica.

For the do-or-die duel, marchers Fumiya Sankai and Lyndon Oros battled for the most coveted 1 point, which the former clinched after winning the last round.
As they return to the house and their position in the garden, Major Lara gave them 30-seconds to celebrate their triumph in a civilian way that means being themselves and doing silly antics.
