PBB Otso Daily Update: Mitch, Dudz to tie the knot this week inside PBB house

After her live-in partner Dudz Ibañez snuck in the house clad in the dreaded monster costume to surprise her and pop the question to her, Pinoy Big Brother Otso housemate Mitch Talao would now try to make their forthcoming wedding, as what Dudz and Kuya have agreed on, extra majestic and memorable with the help of her housemates.

Kuya initially assured them of the basic package, and it’s upon them if there’s going to be an upgrade once they accomplish the special-slash-budget task bestowed to them in exchange of a possibly more grandiose ceremony.

Spearheaded by Wakim Regalado and Apey Obera, the housemates have to build a cake with otso or eight layers by only using playing cards or baraha. For the first layer, they have to fill the circumference of the round table where they will construct the towering “Otso Cake”. As the layers keep on elevating, the circles they have to form shall become smaller, just like how a cake with eight layers typically looks like. Once completed, they have to put the cake topper to mark the accomplishment of their task.

Every layer of the cake they will form has an equivalent wedding package upgrade. For the first three layers, the couple and their guests are going to enjoy the standard package. When they reached the sixth level, they will be given the deluxe package, and the premium package (and the grandest!) once they finish it.

The housemates are only given two days to complete the task and Big Brother won’t give them the usual wake up and bedtime call to let them do the task at their own disposal.

Before proceeding to their task, Wakim gathered his housemates first to orient them about his leadership style and went on instructing them to think of and try different ways on how they’ll form the cake of cards. Mark Obera came up with and suggested the idea of applying his knowledge in carpentry which was proven effective because they’re able to finish the base in a few hours.

As the housemates went to bed, being the “Gifted Go-getter” that he is, the task leader decided to stay up in the ‘til the morning to start the construction of the second layer using the “Archimedes Principle”. He explained this to them as soon as they woke up and before he slept. However, they found a few flaws on what he did, thus they decided to renovate it which seemingly appalled Wakim, as seen on the teaser for Wednesday’s episode.

Will the housemates be able to give Mitch and Dudz the beautiful wedding they’ve ever dreamt of? Let’s find out in the next episodes of Pinoy Big Brother Otso!
