Vice Ganda hits "golden buzzer" after dance act's bloody performance

Vice Ganda surprised the crowd in the Manila leg of the auditions when he suddenly rose from his seat and pressed the Golden Buzzer for dance group Power Impact Dancers last Saturday (Feb 27) in ABS-CBN’s world class talent search “Pilipinas Got Talent.”

Even before the judges aired their comments on the performance, Vice had already hit the golden buzzer, sending the group into a frenzy.

“You deserve it. Your performance beat all the other performances that I have seen here on PGT,” Vice said.

Vice also commended one member of the group who still continued to dance despite his mouth bleeding. While he was doing his flips, he unfortunately slipped and missed a proper landing that caused him to fall face down on the floor.

“When you were performing, Robin and I could see the blood flowing down your lips. All I remembered was Kuya Germs and that the show must go on,” Vice added.

Power Impact Dancers is the third golden buzzer act this season. Robin Padilla first used the golden buzzer for the contemporary dance act Power Duo. Angel Locsin used it next for the flair bartending couple Liquid Concepts. The acts who get the golden buzzer will automatically proceed to the semi-finals.

What acts will surprise viewers and the judges next? Will FMG finally use the golden buzzer and pick his golden buzzer act?

“Pilipinas Got Talent” continues to be most watched in its timeslot. Last Saturday (Feb 27) it hit a national TV rating of 36% vs rival’s 22.5%. The show also won the ratings game last Sunday (Feb 28) and hit 35.2% vs rivals’ 18.3% and 21.4%.

“Pilipinas Got Talent” is a world class talent search that aims to find the best Pinoy acts in the country. It is hosted by Luis Manzano and Billy Crawford with judges Freddie M. Garcia, Angel Locsin, Robin Padilla, and Vice Ganda.
