“Kuya, buong-pusong yes na yes, basta ikaw! Yes! Wala nang pag-uusapan, pag-iisipan pa. Yes!”
This was what well-loved host Toni Gonzaga’s enthusiastic response to Kuya when asked if she’s still willing to be his ‘kasangga’ again in the highly anticipated re-opening of Pinoy Big Brother house soon.
During their short yet hearty conversation via video call on Monday, November 2, to which her adorable four-year-old son also joined and only his iconic voice can be heard, “Kuya” asked her regarding her and her family’s current situation and the things that have been keeping her occupied throughout the community quarantine.
In her latest vlog published last October 24, her younger sister Alex revealed that five people in their household contracted COVID-19. All of them had already tested negative after going into self-quarantine for two weeks.
Toni revealed that it triggered her anxiety since they had an intimate get-together at their home days before they tested positive, to the point that she got worried every time a package was delivered to them. And now that it has been a month since their recovery, she related that she has already managed to regain her calmness.
When it comes to dealing with her “buhay-bahay”, she imparted enjoying every moment of it since it’s a rare experiencing for celebrities like her to be able to spend a lot of time with the family, especially that Seve is now at the age wherein he’s beginning to remember things about his childhood.
As “Kuya” mentioned the word “connect” as they tackled the anxiety caused by the health scare in her family, the upcoming “Connect” season of Pinoy Big Brother was also brought up, which was apparently one of the reasons for the call.
Kuya then went on to ask the Multimedia Superstar if she would still accept his challenge to her to become the host again of his program, to which she retorted a resounding “yes!” without hesitations and further negotiations.
She also willingly accepted her initial task, which was to have a livestream on KUMU to deliver the “Big 4 Balita” with regards to PBB Connect.
The conversation ended with Toni jestingly telling Seve that she will have to stay at Kuya’s house, to which the cute toddler responded with a strong “No!” after she told him that he can’t come with her. She then teasingly asked him if he wants to have the PBB Kids Edition and uttered that she’s going to think of it first.
Avid followers of the successful reality show would know that Toni, whose signature greeting “Hello, Philippines and hello, world!” was popularized, has hosted all of its 14 editions ever since its inauguration in 2005 alongside different co-hosts.
