PBB List: 9 most unforgettable celebrity guestings on Pinoy Big Brother through the years

In the past 15 years of Pinoy Big Brother, we’ve witnessed several celebrities came over to Kuya’s house to not just simply visit and check on them, but to also bring happiness, inspiration, and thrill to the housemates – who were aspiring to be as successful as they are as soon as they either in the local entertainment scene or in life in general.

As we look forward on meeting the newest batch of housemates and hearing Kuya’s voice again on its highly anticipated ninth season dubbed PBB Connect that will start very, very soon, let’s revisit nine of the most unforgettable celebrity guestings on the reality program through this list!

Sharon Cuneta

As the Double-Up housemates figured in a ‘war’ as a part of one of their weekly tasks, Big Brother declared a brief ceasefire via the surprise entrance of the Megastar. Brandishing a plain white flag, she told the housemates that she just dropped by to check on them and bring them food to eat, specifically siomai and siopao. She also toured around the house and had a fun chat with the obviously star-struck housemates.

Kris Aquino

Prior to the much-awaited Big Night of the All-In edition in 2014, the fans of the remaining housemates – Daniel Matsunaga, Vickie Rushton, Jane Oineza, Maris Racal, and Loisa Andalio – had the chance to know their bets better through the tell-all interview hosted by the one and only Queen of All Media Kris Aquino during the special combined telecast of PBB and Aquino and Abunda Tonight.

Each of the five took turns on the hot seat, with Kris grilling them about the issues and controversies they got involved in throughout their stay inside the house, the reason why they deserved to be the Big Winner of their batch, and the other housemate they would want to take home the coveted title if it wasn’t for them.

Judy Ann Santos

Being one of the most illustrious actresses in the country, the Primetime Drama Queen is undoubtedly one of the right persons to ask when it comes to acting techniques and showbiz success secrets.

As the All-In housemates geared up for their short film, Kuya invited her to school the housemates on how to portray their characters effectively and to advise them on how they can maintain their respective careers as artists. Besides, the Paano Kita Mapapasalamatan? host also became the game master of the mini gameshow “Do You Know?”, which tested how well the remaining housemates knew about their ex-housemates.

Before her departure, she gave Big Brother her assessment of each housemate which could help the people in choosing who they should support. She bestowed her four “I Do[s]” to Vickie Rushton, Joshua Garcia, Loisa Andalio, and Maris Racal.

KathNiel

Through the years, the King and Queen Hearts have been among the most frequent visitors of Kuya in his house.

They initially provided happiness and kilig to the All-In housemates in 2014 as they joined them during one of their tasks. DJ entered with a bouquet of flowers, which he offered to his die-hard fan Loisa Andalio, and had a simple yet thrilling “turo-turo” date with her afterwards. On the other hand, Kath had a heart-to-heart talk with her friend Jane regarding the issue involving them during that time and a mini interview session with the housemates.

On their comeback in 2017, they were tasked to stealthily prepare breakfast for the Lucky Season 7 housemates, who were still asleep when they entered the house, and to wake them up as afterwards. Their surprising appearance freaked the teen housemates out, especially Maymay Entrata who wasn’t able to contain her admiration towards the loveteam.

Aside from chatting with them over breakfast, they were also able to inspire the housemates in their acting challenge by re-enacting one of the most remarkable scenes from their movie that time “Barcelona: A Love Untold.”

Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil

One of the popular loveteams to grace PBB was LizQuen.

They had the chance to mingle with the teen Lucky Season 7 housemates in 2016 when they entered the house separately. Liza caught up with the boys by hanging out with them one-by-one for seven minutes, while Quen had a kilig date with his die-hard fan Maymay.

In 2017, they went back inside the house to help the housemates in their acting task by guiding them in re-enacting one of the most unforgettable scenes from their blockbuster flick that time “My Ex and Whys.” Before bidding goodbye, they picked two housemates as their partner in doing that same scene, with Liza choosing her admirer Edward while Quen picked Maymay (and even almost kissed her on the lips!). The fans of the two tandems – LizQuen and MayWard – were surely delighted, too, as they went on a short double date afterwards.

Avid viewers of the reality show could probably recall that the King of the Gil first entered the house in 2015 when he stood as the judge for the dance challenge of the PBB 737 housemates.

John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo

As Tommy Esguerra and Miho Nishida prepared for their production for It’s Showtime, Bea and John Lloyd took a portion of their time to teach them how to act as they asked them to mimic their iconic characters Popoy and Basha from their hit romantic films “One More Chance” and “A Second Chance” when they visited them at the PBB house in 2015.

While it was seemingly JLC’s first time to enter the famous house, Bea had already been there several times already in the previous years.

In 2014, she paid a visit to the All-In housemates with her Sana Bukas Pa Ang Kahapon leading man Paulo Avelino, in which they reenacted a scene from the said teleserye. They also jammed with them as Maris played the guitar and sweetly sang “Power of Two”.

A year after, she went back to help her close friend Enchong Dee, who became a guest housemate during the 737 Teen Edition. She made a comeback in 2016 with her A Love To Last leading man, Ian Veneracion, to surprise the Lucky Season 7 housemates.

Piolo Pascual

Fans of loveteam Maris Racal and Inigo Pascual has the Ultimate Heartthrob to thank for as he paved the way for the unexpected on-screen pair to be established. It happened when he dropped by the PBB house in 2014 to visit the All-In housemates, which included then-16-year-old Maris.

They performed a duet of Yeng Constantino’s iconic hit “Hawak Kamay” while Maris was playing the guitar. Because of her charming personality and the impressive musical talent she exhibited, she was the one who stood out the most for Papa P and the one who he saw has the greatest potential to successfully break into the industry.

But aside from being an artist, he apparently saw her as his son Inigo’s potential girlfriend as well as he jestingly told her, “Gusto mong hintayin ‘yong anak ko? Magka-edad kayo. Musikero din ‘yon. May boyfriend ka na ba at 16? Huwag ka muna magbo-boyfriend ha? ‘Yong anak ko.” He even pulled her afterwards and joked that Kuya agreed for him to take her home.

MayWard

More than a year after their season ended, Maymay Entrata and Edward Barber, who are already a phenomenal loveteam in the outside world, went back inside the house in 2018 to visit the first batch of PBB Otso teen housemates, bond with them for quite some time, and give them some words of wisdom regarding their weekly task, their stay inside the house, and the tough decision they had to make.

Of course, they also had an amusing kulitan moment inside the confession room with Big Brother who they truly missed.

Vice Ganda

As he got touched by the heart-rending story of PBB Otso Batch 4 housemate Hasna Cabral, an inspiring and loving single mom to two adorable special children, Vice Ganda talked to Big Brother to personally meet her and bond with the other housemates as well.

He brought along with him a suitcase containing some of his pre-loved clothes that he wanted to contribute for their “Pinoy Big Ukay” weekly task, which proceeds were for the benefit of Hasna’s beloved kids. He also related how hearing Hasna’s story truly inspired him and helped him feel better during one of the lowest times in his life.

That wasn’t actually the first time that the Unkabogable Star entered the house. In 2014, Kuya invited him to come over to his house to help him and the other housemates know themselves further after All-In housemate Fifth Solomon courageously confessed that he is bisexual. Besides, he also bonded and heartily talked with them over breakfast, drinking session, and swimming.

Vice went back in 2016 with his It’s Showtime co-host Vhong Navarro to visit the Lucky Season 7 housemates as they took on the mannequin challenge, which was televised during the noontime show’s live airing.

Can you still remember which celebrity guesting did you enjoy or strike you the most?
