Aside from fulfilling her dream of becoming a singer, she also perceived that as an opportunity for her to finally find his long-lost Jewish-Russian dad who has been missing for more than a decade. Her stint in the reality singing show may be short-lived, but that didn’t hinder her from building a career in the local entertainment scene.
Anji went on to become an up-and-coming recording artist and actress and got cast in the iWantTFC Original series “Unloving U.” At the same time, she lent her voice for its official soundtrack titled “Keep Coming Back,” which she dedicates to her estranged dad.
She also became part of the elite Kapamilya Gen Z group Squad Plus and started performing in ASAP Natin ‘To as among its new breed of artists. And in July 2021, she was one of the more than 40 talents who signed her contract with the ABS-CBN talent arm Star Magic during its historic “Black Pen Day”.
The 19-year-old promising artist went on to sing the OSTs of other ABS-CBN programs, such as “Don’t Be Afraid” of the iWantTFC Original series “My Sunset Girl” and “Buo” of the well-loved primetime series Marry Me Marry You.
With all the successes she’s savoring at present, Anji has her frontliner mom Melisa as her ultimate guiding star and cheerleader who has been inspiring and supporting her all the way. And she tearfully talked about her during her guesting in Magandang Buhay last year.
“My mom is an amazing person, what can I say? Para sa akin, she’s the best and she’s just perfect to my eyes. I find her inspiring because she’s strong,” she said about her mom, whose unbelievable strength and independence as a woman she admires for being able to raise her and her younger brother singlehandedly.
