Throughout her glorious and memorable journey as one of the adult housemates of the Batch 2 of Pinoy Big Brother Otso, Lou Yanong has indeed demonstrated how she is definitely more than just a pretty face.
Been working as a commercial and ramp model since she was seven years old, she grew up into the glitzy and colorful yet grueling world wherein everything is fast-paced and should be done with utmost perfection. And at the same time, everyone are required to be disciplined, versatile, and always at their best – which she apparently imbibed up to her life off the catwalk and behind the cameras.
But despite having a glamorous job, the “Rampa-Sister of Mandaluyong City” brandishes a totally different persona from what is actually expected her to be by other people. While we perceive her as prissy and kikay, she actually identifies herself as ‘crazy’ and ‘boyish’, which she consistently showed us from the moment she was introduced as part of the second batch up to her sojourn at Kuya’s house.
Bringing in a different kind and level of energy and confidently unraveling who she really is, a lot of viewers began to admire her, thus, making her one of the top favorite housemates of their batch. Apart from that, we also saw how strong her bond and how soft her heart is when it comes to people dear to her, especially her family who dropped by the house to visit her in three different occasions.
But what made us love her even more is her unrelenting determination to not just win, but to excel in every task and challenge Big Brother had given them. Even though his competitors in the latter part of her stint were dudes, the incredible courage, strength, intelligence, and gumptiousness she exuded were enough to topple them down and prove that she’s indeed this season’s ‘femme fatale’.
Besides, she demonstrated as well how a great leader she was towards her housemates, and at the same time, how a dependable and fun friend she could be for them. She also knows how to own up to her mistakes and be humble and open-minded to accept the opinions and criticisms of other people towards her.
Whether she made it or not to be the Big Winner or be at least one of the Final Big 4, Lou arguably already feels like a champion as she didn’t found new friends to whom she can share more memories together, but the love of her life as well – Andre Brouillete – to whom she is likely to spend her life with for eternity.
With her family as her main source of inspiration and strength, she was able to overcome every pain, hardship, and exhaustion she endured and broke into the Big 4 of #Batch2getherForever, and eventually into the Ultim8 Big Otso.
