After battling it out during the first phase of the Ultimate Big Battle last week, the adult housemates of Pinoy Big Brother Otso and the Star Dreamers of Camp Star Hunt are once again pitted against each other in another weekly task given to them.
Since there are only four of them, Kuya announced that remaining Star Dreamers Grace Abrugar, Kin Franco, Lyndon Oros, and Mark McMahon are going to be joined by ex-housemates-turned-house challengers Abi Kassem, JC Gamez, Tori Garcia, and Wakim Regalado, for the bout to be fair-and-square. This of course shocked their former comrades.
For this week, the two groups will take on the Yoyo Challenge, in which they have to incorporate the yoyo tricks their trainers are going to teach them.
It's Showtime's first-ever Magpasikat grand champions Spyros are going to train them the art of juggling with the use of two sticks and a string, or what is called Chinese Yoyo or "Diabolo", and how to level up their performance by including this in a dance number.
To give them chance to advance to the next level, Big Brother bestowed their initial challenge, in which each team has to pass on the yoyo among all their members consecutively. Whoever finishes it the quickest will win and obtain the advantage that they can use in their rehearsals in the coming days.
Since Fumiya Sankai is still injured, Kuya forbade him from joining the game. But this didn't affect the performance of the housemates, who after several attempts won in the end.
A day after, the housemates couldn't help but talk about the four surprise house challengers, to whom they previously lived with either inside the house or the camp.
At the same time, Big Brother summoned task leaders Kim Franco and Camille Sandel to explain the second portion of their weekly task. They are told to come up with a show using their feet and hands as puppets, which should also have a story and all-original song number.
Although the housemates already have their resident singer-songwriter in Shawntel Cruz, Kuya still sought the assistance of OPM hitmaker Ogie Alcasid in order to guide them in the songwriting process and singing portion of their "Paa-ppet" show.
Once he was ushered by Shawntel inside the house, delight was painted onto the housemates faces as they seemingly got 'starstruck' by the singer's presence.
He first taught them how to vocalize individually then tested how sharp their ears were as he pressed some notes from the keyboard. He also listened to Shawntel's original composition as sung by the girl housemates and praised it.
Afterwards, he requested the guys to rehearse the movements of their feet for the "Paa-ppet" show and gave them a few advice later on.
Even though task leaders Camille and Kim are apparently not settled yet with their relationship with each other and the other housemates, the former assured that they're still doing good.
Watch out for the other preparations the housemates are going to do this week for the second wave of the Pinoy Big Battle by tuning in to PBB Otso!
