After a completely physically exhausting and mentally and emotionally draining week as they take on their weekly task, the housemates of Pinoy Big Brother Otso had to face another heart-rending chore as they had to bid farewell to two of their fellows during the double eviction last Sunday, February 24.
Being the two nominees to garner the least percentage of votes, the supporters of Mitch Talao and Wakim Regalado weren’t able to save them from being expelled from the house. She only got 4.7% while he got 7.66%.
Meanwhile, Yamyam Gucong topped the list, receiving 38.72%, and was succeeded by Lou Yanong who had 25.58% and Fumiya Sankai who had 23.34%.

It was the Transmama of Lucena City, Quezon who was declared as the first evictee for the evening, whom Kuya reminded to continue raising her colorful and inspiring story in the outside world and may she applied all the lessons she learned inside the house and be more gumptious in life.

She was welcomed by her loving spouse Dudz Ibañez and imparted that among her comrades, for her, it was Wakim who had the biggest change in his attitude as he became more mature and responsible, especially in household chores.

After being saved for three consecutive eviction night, it seemed that the mission of the “Gifted Go-Getter of Iloilo” inside the house was finally accomplished. Thus, he urged the remaining housemates to keep on fighting in the weeks and tasks to come.

During his almost two-month sojourn, he was able to demonstrate who he really is that somehow had a negative effect on his relationship with his comrades. That’s why for his parting words for him, Big Brother told Wakim stay brave and golden and reminded him to learn how to improve his social skills and to be more sensitive as well to the feelings of other people around him.

Upon his exit, his Ate Julia was there to fetch him. He embraced host Bianca Gonzales so tight as soon as he stepped on the stage to express how grateful he is to her for giving him the star, or another chance, during the Star Hunt auditions. He also thanked his fans, or the “Wakimons”, for saving him three times.

On the other hand, it was Hanie Jarrar who was picked by Kuya to be the latest Star Dreamer to crossover to the PBB house due to the persistence and determination he exuded in all their jobs given to them and staying true to his feelings yet still choosing to do what is right.

The “Athletic Cutie of Isabela” imparted to host Kim Chiu that he couldn’t help but be excited and overwhelmed with the unforeseen opportunity given to him by Big Brother.
When asked what more he could show now that he’s an official housemate, he said, “Kahit I’m super young and super experienced, kayang-kaya ko to make the right decisions, be wise, and to stay true [and] humble to myself all the time. [I’ll] just remember who I am.”
