“Pira-Pirasong Paraiso” cast and directors tease about teleserye’s gripping elements

Our afternoons will be more exciting as ABS-CBN, in collaboration with TV5, brings us “Pira-Pirasong Paraiso” which assembles the new generation’s brightest stars including Charlie Dizon, Joseph Marco, Loisa Andalio, Ronnie Alonte, Alexa Ilacad, KD Estrada, and Elisse Joson.

In addition to those rising drama royalties, the cast is littered with some of the industry’s seasoned thespians like Epy Quizon, Sunshine Dizon, Art Acuna, and Snooky Serna.

You know it’s going to be a great masterpiece under the helm of directors Raymund Ocampo and Roderick Lindayag who previously joined forces to mount the iconic Kapamilya serye “Wildflower.”

During the grand media conference,  the cast and directors teased more about the teleserye. First up, the intriguing plot! It follows a woman’s quest to find her two sisters and all the drama, plot twists, and mind games that happen in between.  Direk Raymund mentioned that the core of the story is taken from a saying by Carl Jung: “The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.”

The woman searching for her siblings is Diana played by Charlie. Based on the trailer, Diana will fall in love with Julius (Art), who will provide her with the resources to go on with her search.

Loisa’s character, Baby, pretends to be one of Diana’s siblings. She’s the adopted member of Badong (Epy), Rosa (Sunshine), and Hillary (Elisse)'s family of con artists. There appears to be a strong rivalry between her and Hillary due to the latter’s insecurities.

Alexa adds spice to the story as Angela, a journalist invested in the story of Diana and her missing siblings.

The ladies will cross paths with gentlemen who will likely change their world. There’s Elon (KD), the apprentice of Angela; Jonaf (Ronnie), a cop; and Vlad (Joseph), Julius’ son who’s bent on making Diana’s life a living hell.

Meanwhile, Snooky’s character as Julius’ ex-wife is expected to add more startling “pasabog” in the narrative. “Masama ang ugali ko dito. She’s a bad person,” she hinted.

The ensemble cast couldn’t wait for the teleserye’s premiere, certain the viewers will love the project. “No’ng prinisinta po ng Dreamscape sa akin at nilatag ang istorya, I just know that the audience will really, really enjoy and love this new show,” shared Sunshine.

“Alam naman natin ‘pag Dreamscape project, ang script niya talagang madiin,” Epy assured.

In Alexa’s words, our afternoons are bound to get surprising. “Habang pinapalabas ang ‘Pira-Pirasong Paraiso,’ we’re gonna have you on the edge of your seats. Humanda kayong gumising sa hapon.”

Also joining the cast are Markus Paterson, Argel Saycon, Kate Alejandrino, Kobe Medalla, and Liza Diño.

Stay tuned for the pilot episode of “Pira-Pirasong Paraiso” this July 25, at 3 pm, on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, TV5, and A2Z.
