In teleseryes, it’s not uncommon for viewers to harbor strong feelings of hate toward characters, especially the antagonists, and Elisse Joson’s on-screen persona as Hilary Abiog is no exception. Interestingly, what viewers dislike about Elisse’s character aligns with the very reasons she, too, finds her hard to love. In this video from ent.abs-cbn.com, the versatile actress reveals three things she hates about Hilary.  

On top of the list is the tactless nature that Hilary exudes, “Lahat ng lumalabas sa bibig niya, wala ng filter.”  

Elisse also shared a sense of disapproval with the viewers towards Hilary’s lack of empathy for her family as long as she’s satisfied with her actions and decisions. “Dahil goal-getter siya, kahit sarili niyang pamilya minsan naisasantabi niya o hindi niya napa-prioritize o hindi niya napapahalagahan basta makuha lang ‘yung gusto niya,” she mused.  

She also candidly revealed what she feels about Hilary’s past as an escort girl, not as a judgment on the profession itself, but rather as a concern for the character’s well-being, reflecting genuine empathy for her on-screen persona.  

“Kasi siyempre ang trabaho niya is nag-e-escort. Though I have no problem with that, sa akin lang talaga as Hilary, na parang,  sana si Hilary pwede naman siyang magtrabho ng iba, ‘yung hindi siya mapapahamak. Kasi Maraming beses  na siyang napahamak because of that line of work,” she imparted.
