In the controversial world of show business, lucky are those artists who are able to find trustworthy and steadfast mates who would stick with them no matter what. Through thick and thin, they would be there to guide and support each other.
Take for example the King Of Hearts’ barkada, who have been his perennial teammates not only in basketball, but in life too. Browsing through their Instagram accounts, it’s obvious that his ties with his barkada are so tight that they’re often spotted together. From work to hangouts, it seems they’re inseparable. As they all aspire to make it big and create an impact in showbiz, these equally good-looking and talented guys prove they’re not only in it for the good times, but they also got each other’s back in times of trouble.
In this gallery, we see most of DJ’s wackiest and memorable hangouts with buddies Marco Gumabao and Patrick Sugui, plus other precious moments spent with his other close friends, such as Dominic Roque, Khalil Ramos, and Neil Coleta.
Debuting in the sitcom Luv U in 2012, Marco had been cast in such teleseryes as FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, Precious Hearts Romances Presents Los Bastardos, Hanggang Saan, and in a number of episodes for the anthology Ipaglaban Mo. He created a stir having landed major leading film roles in recent years, namely in “Just A Stranger” with Anne Curtis “Revirginized” with Megastar Sharon Cuneta.
Patrick, on the other hand, hit the showbiz trail after his stint as a housemate in Pinoy Big Brother Teen Clash in 2010, before taking supporting roles in DJ’s major teleseryes, such as Pangako Sa ‘Yo and La Luna Sangre. He has appeared in the anthologies Maalaala Mo Kaya and Ipaglaban Mo, before taking on roles in The General’s Daughter and 24/7.
Daniel and his barkada is definitely one of the squads that most of us are pining to have – a bunch of people who would love and support you whether you’re a celebrity or not and would understand you in all aspects. Just like how Patrick described their brotherhood in one of his tweets: “We have that ride or die kind of friendship.”
