As Luz Mabunga, she is proving what it means to be the “ilaw ng tahanan”. Whenever there is drama in the family, she feels it on a different level than everyone else. This led to a number of brilliant performances from Sylvia Sanchez that are easily some of the most memorable moments on Pamilya Ko. And here are the veteran actress’ personal top three!
Who could forget the scene when Fernan (Joey Marquez) admitted to having a four-year long affair with Loida (Irma Adlawan)? Luz had her suspicions, but this confrontation confirmed her worst fears. Despite tensions running high, Luz and Fernan did not shout at each other. Sylvia also gave credit to Joey since he received a number of slaps from her.

Another shocking revelation is when Chico (JM de Guzman) found out that Elena (Rosanna Roces) is actually his real birth mother. He could not help but remember his childhood, particularly when his parents gave him away. This was another quiet yet powerful scene. The Kapamilya star also praised Arci Muñoz, JM and Joey who she shared the scene with, “ang sarap-sarap kaeksena kasi alam mong makakahugot ka talaga.”

Finally, there is the moment Luz got shot by Loida. It was an unexpected turn of events. Viewers were not sure what would happen. But what made this scene unforgettable for Sylvia is how until the last seconds of her consciousness she was still thinking of her children.
