Is there anyone on earth who would get tired of Clark (James Reid) and Leah (Nadine Lustre)’s golden love story? The answer is none, for sure. And in our desire to give you – OTWOListas and all – a chance to relive the couple’s most kilig-inducing moments, here’s a Kapamilya Toplist from On the Wings of Love to hit you right at the feels.
Destiny might have sported a cute little wink when our hero and heroine finally crossed paths again in San Francisco and ended up entangled in a fixed marriage. The sham couple soon learned not to feign their feelings anymore as they unexpectedly fell for real, and that was when the kilig soared higher.
Clark and Leah tried to hide and fight their feelings to avoid complicating their situation. But, the more they hid the truth, the more it swam to the surface. Clark knew he wasn’t just acting when asked to enumerate the qualities he liked best about Leah, in front of the other guests in a friend’s wedding reception. Leah was aware of all the signs but she still kept on denying the obvious. This resistance coupled with the butterflies just made all their succeeding interactions truly adorable.
When the hubby was sick, the wifey was there to take care of him. Leah stayed by Clark’s side overnight and even violated their no-closeness rule. Clark woke up next to Leah cuddling him. And instead of running away with his feelings, he just allowed his sweet romantic side to savor the moment and melt in Leah’s soft embrace.
That trip to Napa Valley went down in history as one of the most golden episodes in OTWOL. They might have failed to search for Leah’s mother but they found something just as significant – the courage to get carried away by how they truly feel. From that “kapag mahal ka, babalikan ka” moment when their car broke down in the middle of the road, to the almost kiss while they were stranded in a kind stranger’s house, until the playful chasing games in the grapevine – everything was dreamy and beautiful that Leah even thought she was just imagining things.
That scene where Clark rescued Leah from the rain also made it to this list. Of course, who would forget the moment when Leah hugged Clark to express gratitude for all his help and encouragement in Tatang Sol (Joel Torre)’s operation.
Then, there’s the most approved kiss which trended online and brought every solid OTWOLista squealing in kilig and running out of air. Nothing beats the kiss of a new love!
Finally, the ‘sweetest surprise’ was a totally kilig experience not just for the characters but the viewers as well. There was the debonair Clark throwing the princess-like Leah her dream prom in a dreamy, romantic set-up.
