Indie folk artist Joey Ayala in cooepration with Eikon Records Philippines will do a live album recording this July 20 and August 15 at the equally legendary The 70's Bistro. The recordings will be done with the help of Moondawgs Productions with studio producer Yordi Cui.
They will be aiming to release both in vinyl and CD formats. Will it be a double or single album? They actually don't know and will tryb to figure that out after both events.
“The reason why we are recording two shows is we want to see which versions work best and to see how the crowd reacts,” said Ayala in an intimate media conference. “We like the idea of hearing glasses and beer bottles clinking and a bit of a murmur here and there, some banter here and there to go with the applause.”
“Speaking for myself as an artist, I sound better live than in the studio," Ayala added. "Because I’m an empath, I get a lot of energy from the audience. That’s something you can’t replicate in the recording studio. One legacy I want to leave is I want to leave a good recording of me having fun, working with people, telling stories, as I am a frustrated stand-up comedian."
