Janine Berdin has released a song about unrequited love dubbed “bagay nga tayo pero,” her passion project where she became hands-on from the songwriting to casting for its soon-to-be-launched music video.

The Tawag Ng Tanghalan season 2 grand champion co-produced the song together with critically-acclaimed multi-awarded certified hitmaker songwriter-producer Jonathan Manalo together with Eugene Yaptangco. It was featured on Spotify Philippines’ New Music Friday playlist followed by the Kilig Pa More playlist soon thereafter. Janine also made the Spotify Equal's Times Square billboard in New York recently. 

For the first time, Janine was able to showcase her visual arts skills and made the cover art for “bagay nga tayo pero.” She also personally created its lyric video with the help of friends who are into animation. The singer-songwriter likewise conceptualized the plot of its upcoming music video and even handpicked the stars who will be part of it.

Janine is one of the multi-talented artists that are part of the ABS-CBN Music roster. Last year, she released her EP “WTF I actually wrote these songs” under Star Music featuring the tracks “The Side Character,” “Pagod Na Ako,” “SHE WAS ONLY 16,” and more. The album showed a different side of Janine we haven't seen or heard before, that of a pop-punk and alt-pop-rock influenced singer-songwriter, a far cry from the TNT champion we've known her to be before. She proved that she has her pulse on the dynamic pop sensibilities of today's Gen Z and millenials, a pop-rock princess in the making. She also went out of her comfort zone and collaborated with the likes of juan karlos and Adie. Her collaboration with the latter "Mahika" turned out to be one of the biggest hit songs in recent memory.
