Misha De Leon first made her mark when she auditioned for Idol Philippines season 2. The combination of the then 16-year old Misha's cute, bubbly personality and her beautiful, versatile singing voice left a mark not only with judges Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, Gary Valenciano, Moira Dela Torre, and Parokya Ni Edgar's Chito Miranda, but with her viewers as well. Her rendition of the Harry Styles hit "Sign of the Times" during the solo round was also widely-acclaimed.

She may have been eliminated early in the live rounds and not win the biggest prize in the competition, but she did come out a big winner in her budding music career when she got signed to ABS-CBN Music's Star Pop label under the tutelege of Label Head and certified songwriter-producer and hitmaker Rox Santos

Misha first got to manifest her beautiful, soulful voice on her debut single “Damdamin”. The song is about the struggles of a platonic relationship that is unexpectedly turning into a romantic one. It was composed and produced by seasoned veteran hitamker Jungee Marcelo. The song once landed the 4th spot on Spotify's EQUAL playlist.

“The song 'Damdamin' really hits me right in the feels, you know? It's a groovy song that depicts a person who isn't ready for a romantic relationship with someone, and it makes me imagine the emotions of that person who rejected the one who confessed their feelings,” shared Misha.

She confessed that like other people her age, she previously faced a similar situation described in “Damdamin.”

“It was quite a rollercoaster, filled with ups and downs. However, I believe in the importance of timing,” she pointed out. “And I believe this track would resonate with a lot of people, especially young adults or youngsters who are not yet ready for a relationship.”

The up-and-coming singer is thrilled to finally venture into recording after her Idol PH stint. She described herself as a ‘melting pot of inspiration’ in terms of musical influences.

“From the soulful sounds of Amy Winehouse and KZ Tandingan, to the electrifying beats of BTS and Arctic Monkeys, and even the timeless classics of Adele and Rihanna, my musical taste is diverse. I'm always open to exploring different styles and vibes to help me learn more about my own style and genre,” shared the new Star Pop artist.

Her second single "Haging" is about the tricky feeling of finding out if one’s love is truly worth it and  cknowledging that love takes time.

Misha most recently launched the reimagined version of “Dito Ba” as part of the official soundtrack of the Kathryn Bernardo-Dolly de Leon starred A Very Good Girl.

The OPM classic originally sung by Kuh Ledesma looks back on one’s journey with a feeling of incompleteness despite the changes in life. Legendary composer George Canseco wrote the song while Kikx Salazar produced the remake.

Meanwhile, the clash between two powerful women unfolds in A Very Good Girl starring Kathryn Bernardo, Dolly De Leon, Angel Aquino, Jake Ejercito, Chie Filomeno, Gillian Vicencio, and Kaori Oinuma, now showing in cinemas nationwide.

Misha De Leon's music is now available on various music platforms. For more details, follow Star Pop on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok.
