Lokal Lab and Barangay Santa Fe together with Cebu Pacific, Havaianas, Gcash, ABS-CBN Music, Siargao Bed & Brew, Absolut, Olmeca, Beefeater, and Havana bring you Fête de la Musique PH, a day for celebration through music and culture with the community. It's a free event for all where 20 acts perform on three stages on the streets and beaches of Santa Fe, Siargao this June 21.

From one of the pioneers of budots and undisputed main headliner DJ Love to a tribal band showcasing Filipino culture to saxophone players bringing us some jazz tunes to folk bands to punk rock bands to a bunch of kids playing the weirdest stuff, this joint will showcase acts from all over the Visayas Mindanao Region.

Fête de la Musique, otherwise known as World Music Day, is an annual occasion that celebrates music every 21st of June. Here, people are encouraged to gather together, play music in their communities, neighbourhoods, and public parks. It's a worldwide celebration that not only celebrates music but also culture. Free concerts and outdoor events are set up on this day, which also happens to be the longest day of the year due to the summer solstice.

Since 2019, Lokal Lab has been behind Siargao’s Fête de la Musique, bringing the local community and tourists together through free-of-charge music festivals where artists play for free to share their talent with the whole community. These events have helped boost the tourism in the island, showcasing different aspects of the island beyond General Luna.

Other than Siargao being known as a destination for its pristine white beaches, breathtaking lagoons, lush green coconut trees, and amazing waves for surfing, Siargao's magic comes from its people. As Siargao continues to recover from the Category 5 Typhoon that hit at the end of December 2021, the sense of community and bayanihan on the island are only strengthening. Through events such as Fête de la Musique, one of Lokal Lab's goals is to showcase the island's powerful sense of community.

With the upcoming Fête de la Musique, Lokal Lab's hopes to hold the biggest Fête de la Musique in an island community. Given Siargao's status as a popular tourist destination, Lokal Lab aims to showcase music from various regions of the Philippines, allowing the local community to experience the musical talents from neighboring islands in the Visayas-Mindanao (Vis-Min) region. This event not only exposes the people of Siargao to a diverse range of music and art but also provides a platform for artists to express their creativity to a diverse audience. Importantly, Lokal Lab remains committed to maintaining the festival's zero-waste ethos. Whether it's cultural bands, folk music, hip-hop, R&B, OPM (Original Pilipino Music), or DJs, Lokal Lab aims to create a vibrant mix of musical genres through its extensive network of artists from across the country. Through Fête de la Musique and similar cultural events, Lokal Lab hopes to establish Siargao as a thriving arts and cultural hub, further enhancing its reputation as a must-visit destination.

In related news, ABS-CBN Music joins this year’s Fete de la Musique PH Siargao stage, happening on June 21 (Wednesday) in Santa Fe, rising Kapamilya artists CESCA, Maki, and Zion Aguirre.
