Here are more revelations from our Ngayon at Kailanman stars about their journey in being part of the said teleserye.
In this second part of the Ngayon at Kailanman secret files, it was our leading lady Julia Barretto and our leading man Joshua Garcia’s turn to tell us how they transformed into Eva Mapendo/Angela Cortes and Innocencio “Inno” Cortes respectively.
Far from the other roles he has done before, being Inno Cortes has been a challenge for Joshua. He even revealed that on his very first taping day as Inno Cortes, he got frustrated and so angry with himself because he couldn’t get to portray the character right. One thing that he struggled with is his many English lines. Nevertheless, everyone was so considerate in letting him say few of his lines in Tagalog so that he can express the need emotions for the scene more and what he says will much be felt by the audience.
Meanwhile, although Julia already portrayed a boyish role in her movie with Joshua and Ronnie Alonte, “Vince, Kath and James,” Julia revealed that becoming Eva Mapendo is a tougher challenge. As Julia puts it: “This one is not just boyish… This one we’re talking of mannerisms, we’re talking of habits, we’re talking of way of speaking, we’re talking of the way she moves and speaks and accept people, the way she stands, the way she walks… We’re talking of her whole being… I have to embrace it, I have to become Eva and my heart has to say Eva.”
Apart from these, Joshua and Julia along with Jameson Blake, Elisse Joson, Ina Raymundo, Dominic Ochoa and Iza Calzado also talked about how their tenacity was tested while doing the show.
They also teased us that Ngayon at Kailanman has an ending that hasn’t been done before in a teleserye. Ina says that it will surely be the talk of the town, and Iza explains that it’s because their story’s finale isn’t exactly the kind of ending anyone would expect.
How is that? To find out, don’t dare miss the finale of Ngayon at Kailanman on Friday, January 18 after FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano on Primetime Bida!
